With an outdoor heated pool (Easter to the end of October half term), a games room and a movie room, this quirky group accommodation is a dream for peaceful holidays and celebrations with friends and family, for elegant country hen weekends, and corporate away days.

Interiors are delicious, and outside the large grounds merge seamlessly with the glorious countryside of the Cranborne Chase National Landscape. The views roll on for miles to meet the distant horizon; at night the only light you can see is at the top of Salisbury cathedral, 10 miles away.

You’d be hard pushed to find a more spectacular setting; peace and quiet, fresh air and birdsong, surrounded by the gentle folds of the Chalke Valley on the border of Wiltshire and Dorset. If you can tear yourselves away, there’s a lot to see and do nearby, with family attractions, activities, historic sites and charming country inns all within an easy drive. To get here by car or train from London takes less than 3 hours, the A303 is about half an hour away, and the nearest station is at Salisbury.
