The conservatory is a light and airy room with dining table and chairs – perfect for looking over the garden whilst eating breakfast. There is also a seating area and area for coats and muddy boots.

The living room has comfy seating with a sofa and two chairs for you and your dogs to enjoy. There an electric pebble fire for those colder evenings and a large Smart TV. Here you will also find the bookcase with local maps, books and games.

The kitchen is well equipped with a range style gas cooker with griddle plate, gas hobs, two ovens & a grill. No on needs to wash up on holiday so of course there is a dishwasher, there’s a toaster, coffee machine, iron & ironing board too.

The downstairs bedroom is a large light room with a kingsize bed, day bed and cot. All bedding provided.

The downstairs bathroom is spacious with a shower and large double-ended bath perfect to soak those achy feet after a long walking chasing kids or walking dogs.

Please note: Because of the paddle staircase the upstairs is not suitable for young children, babies or those with mobility issues. THESE WILL BE REPLACED FOR THE 2025 SEASON

Upstairs is the den with toys and books and seating to keep the children entertained – along and a shared park close by with swings and slides. There is a highchair and stairgate available. Wagtails provides everything you would want for the family.

A twin bedroom with ensuite toilet and shower room completes the accommodation upstairs.

There is a utility room and adjacent outside hot doggy shower, equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, throws (for use on sofas and chairs), dog towels, poo bags, treats and toys. We try to think of everything for your multi dog stay.

Outside, you can relax in the private hot tub, even in the winter months. The garden is dog friendly and well-fenced and has a large patio area with seating, a charcoal barbecue and food serving area. The garden is private with views over open countryside. The hot tub area also has seating and plastic glasses are supplied so you can sip sundowners whilst in the hot tub on summer evenings.

Located adjoining a 220 acre nature reserve, it is ideal for those wishing to get away from it all to relax & unwind.

Wellington (3.3 miles) is a 10 minute drive and has four supermarkets plus lots of smaller independent shops, takeaways and cafes.

Freshly baked cakes, cream teas and tasty light lunches served in a nearby (2 minute walk) cafe and garden with far reaching views of the Blackdown Hills. The village pub is within walking distance with real ales, open fires & good food – both dog friendly.

"We had a really lovely and comfortable stay at Wagtails. The warm welcome provided by the pack left for us and our dog Floyd even had his own little welcome pack, a lovely touch. Liz was incredibly helpful before we arrived. Everything you could possibly need was in the cottage. Outside the garden was lovely although sadly we couldn't enjoy it or the fabulous hot tub due to poor weather, however I thoroughly enjoyed the huge bath tub instead! I would recommend this cottage to anyone with dogs. I can't comment on the area as we were rained in for the whole week but there is delicious pub grub and a warm welcome available just a short walk up the road from the cottage. I also recommend the local lager, very good!"
