The county of Herefordshire is situated in the West Midlands of England. The county town is actually the cathedral city of Hereford - the cathedral dating from the 13th century. Other towns in the county include Leominster, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, Kington and Bromyard.

The sparsely populated county has a rich, rural and agricultural history, being known for its fruit orchards and the production of cider, as well as the breed of cattle that shares its name with the county.

For outdoor enthusiasts and walkers, to the east of the county are the Malvern Hills - an area of outstanding beauty with superb views of Herefordshire and the surrounding counties.
