Holiday Properties in Honiton
The town of Honiton is located in East Devon in the south-west of England. Historically the town was famous for its pottery as well as the Honiton Lace. Elements of the town's lacemaking past can still be evident in place names such as Lace Walk. There is a museum of Lace and Local Antiquities which resides in the former Allhallows Chapel, a thirteenth century building laying claim to being the oldest in the town. The High Street has many striking Georgian buildings, specialist shops offering unique gift opportunities as well as bars and coffee shops. It also hosts a market every Tuesday and Saturday.
Honiton is located in a beautiful area of East Devon surrounded by rolling hills and scenic countryside. It is also only a short drive away from the famous Jurrasic Coastline and many picturesque seaside resorts such as Sidmouth and Lyme Regis. Other nearby attractions include Bicton Gardens, Woodbury Park, impressive Powderham Castle, the nearby city of Exeter and the popular tourist resort of Exmouth.
