The House
The back door opens into a hall that runs the width of the house; down at the end by the big old front door are the stairs, to your right is the utility room and next is the kitchen/living area, well-equipped for your large group stay, with a bar and comfy seating to one end – perfect for cocktails before dinner.
Down the steps to the right is the TV Snug, up the steps the other side of the bar is the dining room where a long table sets the scene for celebration feasts, and a door opens to the front garden. To the left is the living room where plump sofas await you and a huge stone fireplace houses a wood-burning stove for the chillier times of the year.
On the first floor a long landing leads to Bedrooms 1-4 and a family shower room, Bedroom 5 is on the second floor, Bedroom 6 is on the ground floor to the right of the dining room.
A few strides from the back of the house an old semi-open stable block has been converted to house the hot tub and a games room with table tennis, table football and a dartboard. Relax on the terrace in the garden at the front of the house on warmer days; flowers sprawl onto the paths and bloom blousily in the borders, grasses sway gently in the breeze, like a big happy horticultural party.
To stay at Mingleby Manor is such an experience! Take your time to look around, soak up the charm; it’s a place to be relaxed, to be happy, to make incredible memories.
