Jupiter House
Stylish, spacious 5-bedroomed family home with large, bright open plan kitchen/lounge/diner, 5 bathrooms, secure, enclosed, sunny rear and side garden, parking for 4-5 cars.
Jupiter House is situated in Trenant Close which sits at the edge of the village of Polzeath giving easy access in and out even in the height of summer. The beach at Polzeath is 5 minutes walk away via an unmade road that leads straight to the beach car park and village. The house is ideally situated with easy access to all local facilities, being within walking distance of the local, well-stocked Spar, post office, church, clothes and surf shops, art gallery, restaurants and bars.
Downstairs you will find a wonderfully bright spacious open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with large, soft, comfy curved leather sofa, 48” smart TV, sound bar, record player and a selection of vinyl records, books and games. The light, airy dining area has a huge contemporary, rustic dining table, comfortably seating 10. The well-appointed kitchen is well-equipped with fridge freezer; gas hob; double fan oven, one of which also serves as a microwave; dishwasher; Krupps coffee maker; milk frother; Tower air fryer and Nutribullet. There is ample crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils. A pantry/utility room that leads off the kitchen houses a washing machine, tumble dryer, a separate sink and work top, plenty of cupboard space and a bench with storage below and hooks above on which to hang coats and jackets. A shower room leads off this utility room with walk in shower, hand basin and toilet.
Under the stairs in the hall area there is a shoe rack and more hooks for coats etc and a chest of drawers in which you will find maps of the area and beyond, books of walks and leaflets on activities. Along a corridor from there are 3 double bedrooms; 1 en-suite with European king-size bed and doors leading to private patio and en-suite mirrored bathroom with shower and heated towel rail; one with king-size bed with doors opening on to the patio at the back of the house; one twin room with doors to small shared patio at the front of the house. The bathroom in this corridor has a bath with shower over which is ideal for a long soak after being in the sea or out walking on the cliffs and also for families with younger children.
All rooms have under-floor heating that can by managed by a thermostat for each room.
Upstairs is a second lounge with log burner. This has an extremely cosy yet bright and airy feel and has a comfortable sofa. This room leads on to the balcony, which is a real sun trap and from where you can see Pentire Point and stunning sunsets. There is outdoor furniture for the balcony that can also be used indoors to enjoy the view even in rougher weather.
The bedrooms upstairs consist of a double bunk room with desk and chair, ideal for working from home. Note that the top bunk is not suitable for young children. The main master bedroom is a light and airy room with Superking bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and heated towel rail and views to the front and rear of the property. From the rear of the property there are superb rural views of farmland leading to the Leadmines and Pentire Farm.
It should be noted that the staircase is open tread with metal handrail and metal wire and so is unsuitable for very young children.
Outside, the tarmac area at the front of the house can accommodate 3 cars and the driveway can easily accommodate another 3. A door from the dining room area leads to an in-built seating area, for which cushions are provided, and fire pit which is great for coming together at the end of the day to listen to music and share stories around the fire. The stunning garden extends from the back of the king-size bedroom and round the side of the house and is secure for children and dogs. There is a 6-person hot tub for use by guests, a hot shower outside the back door for post surf showers and a hosepipe is provided for washing wetsuits. There are hooks on the wall of the store for hanging wetsuits to dry. There is a gas barbecue outside the back door with gas bottle for use by guests.
Please note that the storeroom and garage are not available for use by guests.
The house is popular with family groups and groups of friends alike. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, subject to a small surcharge and agreement to the house rules.
